The experience

Heat, cold, and the quiet in between

Damperiet is built around the classic Nordic contrast ritual — as simple today as it was for the first generations who fished these fjords.

Heat

Settle onto warm wood benches as the wood-fired stove pushes the room toward 90°C, with floor-to-ceiling glass framing the fjord outside.

Cold

Step straight off the raft into the Arctic sea, or lower yourself into the built-in glass-floor plunge pool for a shock of clear, cold water.

Calm

Wrap up on the rooftop deck, let the cold fade, and take in the mountains — then head back in and do it all again.

Two saunas, one island

Choose your fjord

Both saunas float directly on the water and take drop-in and private bookings. Pick a spot, pick a time.

Guidelines

Our service runs on trust between guests. A few short rules keep it clean, safe and affordable for everyone.

Your own towel (use one to sit on at all times), swimwear — nudity isn't permitted — and your own drinking water, since the sauna can't refill bottles.
There's no toilet on the raft — public toilets are available at the harbour parking area. One shower on board is for rinsing off salt water only; please use it sparingly and skip the soap.
Not during public sauna sessions, and glass bottles or other breakable containers aren't allowed at any time. Anyone visibly intoxicated or behaving unsafely may be asked to leave.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your booking, free of charge, from My account. Staying past your booked time may be charged as an extra hour.
Sauna use and swimming in the sea are at your own risk. The entrance is monitored by CCTV, and only guests with a valid booking may enter — unauthorised entry can be reported to the police.
Both saunas are a short walk from the harbour parking area. If you park there, remember to pay the parking fee.
